The pencil case only opens when the correct, personally adjustable four-digit code is entered. Then the keys 1 and # also light up in pink. If the code is entered incorrectly, the buttons 3 and * light up in red. The two separate zipped compartments of the pencil case are completely filled with 18 colouring pencils, 2 pencils (thick/thin), sharpener, eraser, ruler, glue stick, scissors and a small velcro pouch.
